AtlantiCare Women’s Health & Wellness to host
Sixth Annual Breast Health Signature Event

Best-selling author and breast cancer survivor, Barbara Delinsky to speak
AtlantiCare Women’s Health & Wellness will host its Sixth Annual Breast
Health Signature Event as part of its observance of National Breast Cancer
Awareness Month Tuesday, October 27 at the Sheraton Atlantic City, Two
Miss America Way, Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Best-selling author andbreast cancer survivor Barbara Delinsky will give the keynote address. The dinner lecture will include free health screenings, retail vendors, door
prizes and giveaways. There will also be and I Will Survive exhibition of
artworks by survivors of breast or gynecological cancer.

A mother of three, including twin boys, Delinsky will share her personal survival story and sign
copies of her books Uplift: Secrets from the Sisterhood of Breast Cancer Survivors; While My
Sister Sleeps and her newly released fiction, The Secret Between Us. Delinsky gives all proceeds
on sales of Uplift, a handbook of practical tips and upbeat anecdotes she compiled with the help
of 350 breast cancer survivors, their families and friends, to her charitable research foundation.
The Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) will provide free blood
pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar screenings. There will be chair massages and makeup
demonstrations. Breast and gynecological cancer survivors will receive a special gift.
Registration, health screenings and vendor displays will begin at 4 p.m. Speaker presentations
will begin at 6:30 p.m.

About the “I Will Survive” art exhibit
The event will include the “I Will Survive” art exhibit featuring works created by survivors of
breast or gynecological cancer. The “I Will Survive” exhibit debuted at AtlantiCare’s 2007 Breast Health Signature Event. The art exhibition is supported in part by AtlantiCare, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the South Jersey Cultural Alliance.

A registration fee of $55 ($50 for AtlantiCare Spirit of Women™ members) includes dinner.
There will also be door prizes and drawings. Valet parking at the Sheraton will be free for event
